Thirsty Cat!

Vicki has been really worried about me 'cos I drink and drink and drink. I even get into the shower and drink. So when I started throwing up my dry food last week, off to the V-E-T I was dragged......

Well the V-E-T did all sorts of tests - blood, urine and poked and prodded me and apparently I am fine. I am just a pig who gorges his dry biscuits and then throws them back up again. I have been put on dry biscuit ration! I don't get more than 6 at a time!

So not bad for a 14 year old kitty! My kidneys are fine, my temperature is normal, I have no lumps in my abdomen and I just have to learn to eat a bit slower.....

PHEW!

I had to visit the V-E -T....

Vicki and Paul found me limping last week and became very concerned....

Paul found some of my fur out in the front laneway so they think what happened was that because one of our neighbours is babysitting a D-O-G, they think we met in the laneway which I regularly patrol, and we got involved in a small altercation as the D-O-G did not realise that it was MY laneway. So, I must have given the D-O-G a quick right hook and consequently strained some muscles in my upper arm area as when Vicki & Paul played with my paws, I didn't complain, and yet when I walked I was definitely limping.....

So I took it easy for a few days, slowly got better, visited the V-E-T to make sure nothing was broken, and was given an anti-inflammatory injection which perked me up no end....plus the special kangaroo meat meal really helped my recovery.

Now I am back to my normal happy self, meowing for my breakfast and playing outside again. My advice to you - keep away from strangers in the laneway!!!!

Today I went to the V-E-T!

I wasn't very happy when I saw the cat carrier come out a couple of days ago. And last night Vicki and Paul insisted on playing in it with me. I stayed out all night to inconvenience them and made Vicki get out of bed at 4.00am to let me in. I was hoping to make them so tired and worried about me that they wouldn't take me anywhere in the cat carrier.

But this morning, Vicki picked me up and loaded me into the dreaded cat carrier and I was driven across town - luckily only to the Vet. I had a thorough checkover from the lovely Vet who I hadn't met before but I really liked her. She then gave me a needle which didn't hurt at all and I got a worming tablet too. Apparently I was given the all clear and then Vicki chauffeur-drove me home again.

I then had to check all the perimeters and hidey holes to make sure no one had penetrated the boundaries while I was temporarily indisposed......

Thank goodness that is over for another year.
